April 17 - Eaton Fire Victims Demand Investigation into State Farm for Claim Delays

Victims of the Eaton fire are calling for an official investigation into State Farm’s handling of claims related to the devastating wildfire. Eaton fire victims continue to allege that the insurance company has delayed, denied, and mishandled claims, leaving survivors struggling with toxic damage and unable to rebuild. Many victims report being subjected to inexperienced adjusters, lowball property evaluations, and being told their policies do not cover critical damages like asbestos contamination. Residents are demanding that California Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara take action to hold State Farm accountable and warn that approving State Farm’s 17% rate increase would set a dangerous precedent, allowing insurers to bypass consumer protections.
