May 8 - New Class Action Claims Edison Fire Exposed Children to Toxic Substances

A new class-action lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County claims that Southern California Edison’s negligence sparked the Eaton Fire and exposed nearby residents—especially children—to dangerous levels of lead, asbestos, and other toxins. Our suit, brought by California Fire Victims Law Center attorneys Kiley Grombacher, Bryan Aylstock, and Eric Stracener, alleges many homes in Altadena, where the fire struck, were built before the ban on lead paint and were particularly vulnerable to toxic contamination from smoke and ash.

Plaintiffs are seeking compensation for property damage and health risks, including long-term medical monitoring. This case adds to the growing list of lawsuits filed against Edison in the aftermath of the January wildfires.
