October 13 - Insurance Commissioner Proposes Changes to Consumer Oversight Law  

California Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara has proposed changes to Proposition 103 that would make it harder for consumer advocates to be reimbursed for challenging insurance rate hikes. The Department of Insurance is accepting public comments on the proposal before a scheduled hearing on November 20.
