August 28 - CSAA Insurance Second Major Home Insurer This Month Pursuing Rate Hike

CSAA Insurance, California’s fifth-largest home insurer and provider of AAA-affiliated coverage, filed for a 6.9% homeowners rate increase — the second major insurer to do so this month following Mercury’s 6.9% rate hike. The request comes under the state’s new “Sustainable Insurance Strategy,” which allows insurers to base prices on wildfire risk projections and reinsurance costs.
